Twenty years ago I was diagnosed with an incurable disease which affects the immune system. For ten years I took the most incredible cocktail of drugs, including steroids, antimalerials, antibiotics and ventalin both in tablet form and inhaler. Long periods of time were spent in a London hospital with repeated chest infections.

Eventually I began to seek self help, and slowly weaned myself off the drugs. Although I still found myself regularly being rushed to hospital, I began to feel in control and much more positive.

Sixteen years ago my husband died very suddenly. As you can imagine the shock was considerable,so much so that the effect was to rob me of my voice for three months.

Eventually my voice returned to normal and for some months I was able to talk as before, but then I found that at the first sign of a cold my voice began to go again. This loss of voice could then last for weeks.

Following the hysterectomy, which was supposed to be the "cure all", I had several operations to remove chronic abscesses, which I was told by the medical profession was caused by my HRT.

To add to the above, I have suffered 8 years of sleep deprivation and migraines. I have always had quite a few health problems but about 13 years ago I developed ME. This led to a variety of symptoms which were investigated by a very caring GP and referrals to several consultants. My problems ranged from severe migraine on a fairly frequent basis, through irritable bowel, many allergies to both food and chemicals, eczema, osteoarthritis and later fibromyalgia and then a couple of years ago to angina.

I have known Mr. Marar for about ten years. Over the years he has been able to help me a many times. After my husband died he was a great support and his homoeopathic remedies kept me sane. Once when I first knew him I arrived with a bad migraine, he handed me a small white tablet and said `take this'. I did and about an hour and a half later the migraine was gone.

It is important to have a homoeopath who is fully qualified and one in whom you feel confident as although the remedies are safe each individual is different and aften needs their own constitutional remed. As far as I am concerned Mr. Marar `fits the bill'.

About 8 months ago, I finally admitted to myself that I was falling apart both mentally and physically. I was struggling to cope with a work load that previously I had taken in my stride and enjoyed. I first saw Mr. Marar in May 2001, after almost six years of severe digestive problems.
At the time I was low and in despair about my health, and it was my father's last resort to sort out my health by arranging my first appointment with Mr. Marar

After six years I have little faith in conventional medicine, but my father is a great believer in alternative medicine and for him, I gave it a go.
